Case study
A twenty-year neighborhood institution — part strength gym, part supplement store — with a template site that search engines mostly ignored, a paper-and-memory inventory system, and supplements with real expiry dates on real shelves.
I rebuilt the storefront as prerendered HTML: every product, training service, and trainer bio is a real page with its own title, schema, and photo — the things that make a local business show up when someone nearby searches. The whole catalog is organized the way customers actually shop: by goal, by category, by what goes well together.
Behind the site I built their business system: point of sale for the front desk, inventory that tracks lots and expiry dates (so the soonest-expiring stock sells first, automatically), customer records with honest marketing consent, and a dashboard with the eight numbers an owner actually checks. It runs on their own computer — with the internet down, the register still works — and everything exports in one click.
One system where there were none: the shelf, the register, and the website finally agree with each other.
The site is in client preview ahead of launch — the live link will be posted here the day it ships.
